1. General page content

  • Page type: use the “Project Content Page” type when creating a project page. Do not confuse this with “Project Listing Page”
  • Back link: the back link must be added at the point of page creation. Add the words “Back to projects” and only link back to the 'all projects' page (search 'all projects' or browse to the page Root > Projects > All projects)
  • Client: add the name(s) of the client(s) to this field - seperate mulitple clients with a forward slash i.e. Client 1 / Client 2 / Client 3 etc
  • Last updated: add the publishing date of the project page. If adding an older project page, you should add its original publishing date unless there has been a significant rewrite
  • Page intro text: this should consist of the “outline of what the client needed” section within the project page template. This text will appear slightly larger in size and should not exceed one paragraph
  • Body text: use this field to add the remainder of your introduction i.e. “outline of what we did” and “why it matters”. If only adding copy to your project pages and no other blocks, you can add all the page copy to this field. Use the “header 2” style option for any headings used throughout the copy
  • Partners: add the name(s) of our project partners to this field. Separate more than one organisation with a “/” with a space either side - for example Bam Nuttal / Jacobs / Foster & Partners
  • Strapline: the project strapline acts as a hook and sets the overall narrative for a project. This should not exceed 15 words and should entice a user to read the page
  • Location: add the city where the project was delivered. The country should not be added here. If the project is located in a city state (i.e. Hong Kong or Singapore) please leave blank.

2. Images

  • Image sizing: refer to the table below when resizing images for your page
Hero or full width Half width Teaser
Image size 2000px x 1125px 1200px x 675px 800px x 600px
File size (max) 400kb 250kb 150kb
Format WebP WebP JPEG
  • Naming: all images should be named as a description of the image separated by hyphens. It can include the word “teaser” at the end for teaser images
  • Folders: create a folder to store your images in the “Media” tab of the asset tree: For All Sites > images > projects – followed by the number or letter your project page begins with. The name of the folder should be the name of your project in all lower case.
  • Alt text: add alt text to your images immediately after you upload them to avoid forgetting. It should describe what’s in the image to ensure it’s accessible
  • Hero images: a hero image is compulsory for a project page. Please resize it using the “Hero or full width” specifications in the table above. If using a hero image you must not use it again in the main body. If you only have one image, it’s your decision whether you use it as a hero image or within the story
  • Teaser: add your hero image (resized for the teaser field) in the “Teaser image” field of the “Teaser/Preview” tab. If you have one image and are using it in the body but not as a hero image, please resize this appropriately and use as the teaser image.
  • Twitter image and OpenGraph image: add your hero image (resized for the teaser field) in the “Twitter Image” and “Primary OpenGraph Image” fields of the “Metadata” tab. If you have one image and are using it in the body but not as a hero image, please resize this appropriately as a teaser image and add it to these fields
  • Purpose: don’t use images just for the sake of it. Each image you add should be intentional and support storytelling
  • Captions: all images must have a descriptive caption to illustrate the value they serve on a page
  • Video thumbnail: if adding a video to your news story, you must create and upload a thumbnail image sized as a half width image. A thumbnail will not generate automatically

4. Main content blocks

  • Full rich text: use a “Full Rich Text Block” to add additional written content on your page. Should your copy need a heading, you should use “Header 2” in the styling options. Ensure you paste your copy without formatting so you can format the text using the formatting options in the CMS
  • Image carousel and Large image carousel: Use these blocks whether you’re adding just one image or a range of images. Create the block first before attempting to add images to the block. Captions are mandatory and should be unique and descriptive of each image. They should be approx. one sentence
  • Quote with audio block: this block should be used for quotes that are a couple of sentences in length or around five lines long. Ensure the “Name” and “Testamonial Role” fields are completed. Adding an audio file is optional and unlikely to be needed
  • Video embed block: this block can be used to showcase YouTube videos about a project. You must create a thumbnail image as it will not auto-generate. A video caption is mandatory, and you must also complete the “Video name” and “Video published” fields.

4. Main content blocks

  • Awards: this block will contain any notable award wins that demonstrate the impact of the project in alignment with the objectives of the page. The “Title” field should contain the awards body and year, and the “Description” field should contain the award given. It can contain more than one if more than one award was won at the same ceremony
  • Related projects: this will feature the four latest projects related to a category of your choosing. The block is dynamic and will update automatically. You should select the most appropriate block based on the topic and objective(s) of your project page. They are found here: For All Sites > Blocks > projects > related markets / related service groups / related services / related submarkets / related themes
  • Bottom contact CTA: a project page will finish with a contact us cta. Use one of the pre-set (bottom) contact blocks here. This should be the most relevant contact for your piece of content. Any enquiries will be received by a shared email address via Marketo – no personal email addresses are used on the site. More info here. The blocks are found here: For All Sites > Blocks > contact us blocks > market contacts (bottom) / service contacts (bottom).
